Megan Thee Stallion has finally responded to the reports that she was shot and of course I have an opinion on the matter that I would like to share. I was just as shocked as everyone else that Megan was shot. At first it was reported that she was injured by glass in her foot but we were not told just how the glass came to injure her. In fact there was a quick post shared on whenthiswomanspeaks.com on incident when all the facts were not known. And we are still in the dark about much of the case and Tory Lanez has yet to speak out. With a criminal investigation still underway, we still don’t have a lot of facts but there has been a lot of speculation about just what happened on July 13, 2020 in the Hollywood Hills while the two along with another woman were leaving the residence of Kylie Jenner.
Megan Thee Stallion has come out and said she was not injured by glass in the foot, she was actually shot in both feet and had to have surgery to have the bullets removed. There has been speculation on how she came to be shot and just who shot her. Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion, and her best friend, Kelsey Nicole was the occupants of the vehicle that was stopped by the police when they got a call about gunfire outside of a residence where people were reportedly arguing. Tory Lanez was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon. Now we know that Meg was shot that night and we saw on the news footage her leaving blood on the ground while walking at the direction of the police at the scene of the arrest. We still don’t know who shot Meagan and social media has been ablaze with hot speculations.
THE TRIAL IS BEING PROTRAYED ON SOCIAL MEDIA
The Jurors
Every since the quarantine, social distancing measures, pandemic and COVID-19 became common place we have all been stuck at home. So when so called, “hot topics” like Megan Thee Stallion being shot starts trending, here come the social media trolls.
What happened was to be expected, social media went crazy with comments, memes, trolling, and disrespect towards Megan Thee Stallion and the fact that she was shot. With an absence of much information, Social media in all its glory and boredom came through with the shenanigans. There were all sorts of theories on how Megan came to be shot. One was that her friend Kelsey Nicole shot her which was an allegation that Kelsey denied. The prevailing idea became that Meg and Tory has a lover’s spat and when Megan tried to exit the vehicle, he shot her in the foot. Some even said Tory Lanez was defending himself against Meg and that he shot her in self defense.
Well Megan has stated she did not deserve to be shot and that she didn’t do anything to deserve that. She said a crime was perpetrated towards her and that someone wanted to do harm to her. She is the victim.
I would agree. Her friend, Kelsey says she would never hurt Megan, and let’s not forget Tory was arrested with a concealed weapon. To say Tory Lanez had to shoot her in self defense is preposterous. Where is your evidence, social media? Meagan ends up shot in each one of her feet, and what injuries did she supposedly cause to Tory that warrants her to be shot? I didn’t hear any reports of him being injured. I didn’t hear of Meagan being found with a weapon but he was the one arrested for having a gun.
The Judges
Yes, we all have more time to be on social media and we are using it to voice our opinions on some of the things that are going on. Well so have celebrities and just like us they are on social media in increased numbers. I’m fascinated so many people have to apologize for their behavior on social media, especially in the case of Megan Thee Stallion being shot. So many celebrities have made fun of her or made offensive comments. It makes me wonder what she did to make so many people enjoy the fact that she was shot.
50 Cent
50 Cent has now apologized for a meme he put out in regards to the shooting of Meg Thee Stallion. He is known to troll other celebrities and he put out a parody of a scene in the movie, “Boyz in the Hood”. It is a parody of the scene where the character Ricky is shot, and 50 Cent replaced the face of Morris Chestnut, who is the actor who played in the movie with the face of Megan.
Cam’ron
The rapper, Cam’ron posted “Tory Lanez saw that dick and started shootn..IDC what no one say” on his Instagram insinuating Megan Thee Stallion is a man or a transsexual. I wonder why he thought this would be funny. When you look at Megan she is obviously a woman. It came out of the blue because I had no idea he had beef with Megan. 50 Cent is known to troll, and I’m not excusing him making fun of Megan, but it doesn’t surprise anyone that he would go there. But I don’t see Cam’ron making fun of celebrities, but I could be wrong. Drop a comment if you can give clarity. What did Megan do to Cam’ron?
Draya Michelle
Recently Draya Michelle who starred on the show “Basketball Wives LA” recently had to apologize for joining in on the celebrity roast of shooting victim, Megan Thee Stallion. Draya Michelle also joked that she wished she had a man who liked her so much he shot her like Tory supposedly did Megan. Megan responded to her comment by calling her not too nice names on social media. Megan and Draya both had connections with the singer Rhianna’s company, “Fenty Beauty”. Well Fenty Beauty reportedly cut all ties with Draya who was a fashion ambassador for the brand, in response to the insensitive comments she made.
Jess Hilarious
Jess Hilarious also joined in and also posted a video which was suppose to be a funny report of the incident involving the Megan Thee Stallion shooting. I’m dumfounded. With so many people receiving backlash for making fun of Megan, and Megan stating that her experience is indeed painful, why did Jess decide to join the ranks of the others and publicly make fun of Megan? It seems like the move for someone who is in desperate need of attention, but I could be wrong. Drop a comment.
Supporting Evidence
Rhianna sent Megan a gift and Megan posted the card on social media and the card read “Wishing you a full and speedy recovery, Meg! Just know you’ve got a whole crew over here sending good vibes your way Love Rhianna and the Fenty Corp gang!” The singer, Lizzo sent Megan a basket of snacks, which was extremely thoughtful. Megan is still recovering from the trauma of being shot and the snacks could comfort her during her recovery. Beyoncé sent Megan a beautiful arrangement of flowers along with the note “Queen, Sending You All My Love. God Bless, Beyoncé.”
The Preliminary Judgment
When I saw Megan’s video she posted on social media as a response to all the negativity I felt bad for her. Even though she looked absolutely beautiful she looked sad. She spoke about not having her mother, father or grandmother around but feeling like they are the reason that when she was shot it was not as bad as it could have been because their spirits were essentially looking out of her. At one point in her social media appearance she began to cry.
And that is what is really sad. So many people are making fun of a girl who has faced so many traumas at such a young age and at a time in her celebrity when having a strong support system that really has your back is crucial. I just hope Megan gets justice for her being shot. I also want to send her some much needed love. Hope you feel better, Meg, we are rooting for you.
