No it is not a joke, if you voted for Trump, why wouldn’t you vote for Kanye West?
Kanye West is running for President of the United States and many are wondering if he is serious. Yes, Kanye West is as serious as Donald Trump was the first time he attempted to run for Reform Party Nominee in the Presidential Campaign of the year, 2000. People thought it was a joke when Donald J. Trump first started put his hat in the ring for one of the most prestigious positions in the world, the U.S. President.

Then Trump ran again a decade and a half later and when he ran in 2016 he was the underdog at first. But here we are with him seeking a second term and know Kanye West of all people has announced he is running against him and a lot of people are choosing not to take him serious and my question is ,why?
West first announced he was running for President at the MTV 2015 Video Music Awards, and everyone just brushed it off as him just ranting and raving again. But like Trump, we see he is serious about becoming the next President.
First let’s examine just what does it take to become the President of the United States. According to the United States Constitution on what makes some one eligible to be President there are three qualifications that must be met:
1. Be a natural-born U.S. citizen of the United States.
2. Be at least 35 years old.
3. Be a resident in the United States for at least 14 years.
That is it. That is all it takes to run for President. So Kanye West is qualified to run, just like the other candidates running in 2020. Of course there are things that disqualify someone who is otherwise deemed qualified to run. These are the things that disqualify a potential candidate:
1. If you have been convicted in an impeachment case.
2. If you swore an oath to support the Constitution and later rebelled against the United States you are not eligible to become president. However, this disqualification can be lifted by a two-thirds vote of each house of Congress.
3. You cannot serve more than two terms as President (and there are considerations to this saying eligible person serves as president or acting president for more than two years of a term for which some other eligible person was elected president, the former can only be elected president once.)
Kanye West has not been deemed to be disqualified according to this list, so once again, why is it that Kanye West is not being taken serious?
One of the reasons may be that Americans are tired of some of the dramatics that has been surrounding the Presidency. It has been nonstop scandals and headlines full of calamity and it has many Americans yearning for a sense of normalness, whatever that may mean for us amid a pandemic and social chaos.
We know that there is a lot of Drama that surrounds West and his famous in laws, the Kardashians. The latest scoop from the tight knit camp is that Kourtney Kardashian is stating that the popular television show they all have participated in, is a toxic environment. Sigh.
We have enough theatrics with a former reality television star already in the White House tweeting up a political storm. America doesn’t need Kanye West contributing to what is already what I have come to believe is ridiculous unnecessary world scrutiny.
So what does Trump feel about West’s bid at the Presidency?
